Our New eSprinter: The Future of Logistics Is Electric!

Have you heard our new Sprinters yet? No? Neither have we! But perhaps you’ve already seen them: our 20 brand-new, fully electric eSprinters from Mercedes-Benz are now on the road – and we couldn’t be prouder! As the world’s first logistics provider, we are bringing this innovation to the streets.
This significant step not only marks the expansion of our electric fleet but also represents a major milestone in our electrification strategy.

1 Million Kilometers – A Green Success Story
Since June 2023, we have already covered over 1 million kilometers with our eFleet. This achievement not only demonstrates the reliability and performance of our vehicles but also underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainable mobility. And this is just the beginning: by the end of 2025, we aim to double the size of our electric fleet. Naturally, the eSprinter will remain a central component of our strategy.

Why the New eSprinter?
The new eSprinter is the perfect combination of efficiency, range, and flexibility. These features make it an essential partner for realizing our vision of green logistics:

  • Range: Up to 380 kilometers of electric power.
  • Innovative three-module design: Maximum flexibility in configuring load volume and range.
  • Cutting-edge digitalization: Equipped with the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) technology.

Together Toward a More Sustainable Future
A big thank you goes to our partner MERBAG Commercial Vehicles, who has supported us on this journey. Together, we are paving the way for a more sustainable future – for our customers, our environment, and future generations.

With the new eSprinters, we are making a bold statement: for modern logistics that embraces responsibility. Join us in this transformation and experience the future – electric, efficient, and sustainable!

Congestion in Switzerland: A Major Challenge

The daily traffic jams on Swiss national roads are a persistent issue that affects us all. According to the latest statistics from the Federal Roads Office (ASTRA) (link to the annual report), traffic congestion is alarmingly increasing. Commuters, businesses, and logistics service providers all face challenges exacerbated by unexpected delays and the loss of valuable time. Do you also experience this problem? Are your deliveries regularly stuck in traffic, causing delays for your customers? This issue not only impacts road traffic but also affects your business operations and customer satisfaction.

Our Sustainable Commitment

In collaboration with SBB Cargo Switzerland, we have shifted a significant portion of our transportation from the road to rail. This allows us to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. In 2023, thanks to the use of rail transport, we saved a total of 2,083 tons of CO2. This shift corresponds to 7,500 trailer loadings and 1.9 million kilometers traveled. As a result, we contribute to saving approximately 27,000 driving hours on the road annually and relieve our drivers through combined transport.

The Solution: Sieber Transport AG

We increasingly rely on combined transport (CT), which is not only environmentally friendly but also less prone to congestion. Our customized transport solutions guarantee timely and reliable delivery of your goods. For comprehensive information and data on current traffic congestion, you can refer to the “Congestion Report 2023.” The recently published infographic provides a visual overview of key figures and facts – ideal for those who want to efficiently and thoroughly inform themselves.
